NIC wrestling ranked No. 3 in nation in the NJCAA

The North Idaho College wrestling team moved up this week to No. 3 in the nation in the National Junior College Athletic Association poll. The latest poll also ranks seven individual Cardinal wrestlers in the top 10.

Jacob Swift retains the No. 1 spot at 157 pounds; Navarro Nanpuya is ranked third at 165 pounds; Andrew Lucero is ranked third at 125 pounds; Hunter Gregerson is ranked fourth at 184 pounds; Micah Tynanes is ranked fifth at 197 pounds; Zay Duran is ranked fifth at 174 pounds; and Sal Silva is ranked seventh at 149 pounds.

The Cardinals wrestling team bumped up to No. 3 after being ranked 4th in the country when the last NJCAA poll was released on Dec. 3. The first NJCAA poll of the season, released on Nov. 5, had NIC ranked No. 11 in the nation.
